Commission on Rehabilitation Counselor Certification (CRCC) Category R (Advanced Certificate)

The Rehabilitation Counseling Program at Springfield College is currently offering a post-graduate advanced certificate to support Category R eligibility requirements. The CRCC Category R allows eligible applicants who have one of the degrees listed by the CRCC, and have completed a minimum of 18 semester hours of graduate study within an advanced, integrated program that awards a post-graduate certificate upon completion, to be eligible to sit for Certification as a Rehabilitation Counselor (CRC). The Department of Rehabilitation and Disability Studies offers undergraduate and graduate programs designed for students who are interested in entering rehabilitation and health care professions.

Undergraduate Programs

The department offers three undergraduate majors focused on providing students with the skills and knowledge to serve people with disabilities or health issues, or pursue an advanced degree. The department also offers a dual degree pre-professional rehabilitation counseling program through which students can earn a bachelor’s degree and master’s degree in 5 ½ years.
