How You Can Help East Campus | Springfield College

Recent generous gifts have enabled East Campus to purchase flotation devices for pool use, swim lessons, canoe paddles, a tent for Outdoor Pursuits, and retaining wall materials for flowerbeds at the Southwestern style building entrance to benefit our campers, students, and other program participants. Your support will help with additional needs, including the following:

  • Challenge course elements
  • Floating dock
  • Climbing equipment
  • Cross-country skis

All purchases and improvements are made where they are needed most and where they will have the greatest impact. If you have any questions, please call Ben Taylor or Angela Veatch at (413) 750-5011.

Camp Massasoit counselor for five summers

What I love most about Camp Massasoit is being able to watch the campers grow throughout the summer and challenge themselves in new ways on our ropes course. Our high and low ropes course provides campers with a chance to learn and think critically in a very involved and fun way. Whether campers are collaborating with their peers to complete one of our low ropes course elements, or encouraging one another to climb to new heights, it is truly special to be a part of.

Thanks to donors, East Campus has built new outdoor bathrooms, a universal challenge course, made improvements to the Pueblo and grounds, as well as updated the adventure program equipment. As someone who works with the adventure program, these updates allow me to provide opportunities that were otherwise not available to us, as well as spend less time conducting repairs in the field and more time providing quality programming for campers.

It is important to give back to East Campus/Camp Massasoit because what happens there works. Camp Massasoit provides invaluable skill building, leadership, training, and enrichment opportunities that cannot be found anywhere else, and to continue doing so they need our support.
