Commuting | Springfield College

Springfield College is a residential school and all students are required to live on campus for at least the first three years of their undergraduate experience. We explain everything you need to know about living on campus over on our housing page.

However, if you meet the requirements to be a commuter, you must then apply for commuter status. Learn more about meeting the qualifications and applying below.

Criteria

  • Planning to live at home with a parent(s) or legal guardian(s) and that home is within a sixty-minute drive to the college campus
  • 23 years of age or older (by first day of fall semester)
  • Married
  • Has a dependent child
  • Has been a veteran at least two years on active military duty
  • Has lived on campus for three full years at Springfield College
