Art Therapy/Counseling Careers and Internships

Internships

Students who study graduate art therapy/counseling at Springfield College will complete a 100-hour practicum worth three credits. Students also will complete a 600-hour internship worth six credits to earn their degree. This internship allows students to put their classroom knowledge to work in the field.

Careers

In a recent survey of 2021-22 graduates, 80 percent of students in the art therapy/counseling program who responded reported being employed (with 20 percent continuing their education). A survey of our 2019-20 and 2020-2021 graduates showed a 100 percent employment rate from those who responded. A sampling of our 2021-2023 graduate employers and job titles is below.
