Earn a Master of Education or Master of Science in sport management, recreation management, or therapeutic recreation management.

For more than 60 years, Springfield College has been preparing recreation and park professionals for exciting careers that have a positive impact on our society, as we recognize the contributions that recreation experiences make to the quality of life of many. Leadership, management, and program skills are focused on within the curriculum and internship experiences, so you’ll graduate prepared to make a difference in your field.

Within this major, students may pursue courses as part of our therapeutic recreation management and child life option, too. Graduates of the recreation management major are employed throughout the world in outdoor recreation centers, in the travel business, the National Park Service, resorts, adventure trip industry, armed forces, recreation programs, college and university recreation programs, corporate recreation services, municipal recreation, and YMCAs.

As an added bonus, graduates of the recreation management major (general recreation management concentration) are eligible to sit for the Certified Park and Recreation Professional (CPRP) certification exam as early as their final semester on campus. The certification is provided by the National Recreation and Parks Association (NRPA).
