Leadership, management, and programming skills are focused on within the curriculum and internship experiences, so you’ll graduate prepared to make a difference in your field.

Graduates of the recreation management major are employed throughout the world in municipalities, YMCAs, hospitality, tourism, National Park Service, resorts, the adventure trip industry, armed forces, college and university recreation programs, and corporate recreation services.

As an added bonus, graduates of the recreation management major (general recreation management concentration) are eligible to sit for the Certified Park and Recreation Professional (CPRP) certification exam as early as their final semester on campus.

Concentration

Study Therapeutic Recreation

Interested in impacting lives through recreation? Students can enhance their learning with a concentration in therapeutic recreation, through which they’ll learn to use recreation therapy to improve the lives for individuals with physical, emotional, psychiatric, and developmental disabilities.
