June 25 - 29

Join us for the 2018 SUDSI program and expand your knowledge on addictive behaviors, prevention, and early intervention and treatment.

Participants discussing a topic at an institute

Established in 1987, the Springfield College Substance Use Disorder Studies Institute--better known as SUDSI--provides an introduction into addictive behaviors, prevention, and early intervention and treatment. An academic program held annually in June, SUDSI is available for up to 30 clock hours for continuing education credits. Because alcohol use disorder, substance use disorder, and other addictions have reached unprecedented heights, the goals for the SUDSI program are as follows:

• Provide an introduction/primer to the addiction process and substance abuse counseling;
• Educate participants in detecting potential substance problems and provide appropriate prevention and intervention measures;
• Provide resources, networking, and support systems for participants within the recovery field;
• And reduce the potential impact of alcoholism, substance use disorders, and addictions on the lives of young adults and their families.
