Who influenced you when you were a student at Springfield College and explain the role they played in your life?
While a student at Springfield College, the professor that most influenced me was Dr. Braden. He knew his "stuff" and ensured that the students were taught what we needed to know and equipped us future leaders with worth-while knowledge, expertise and to handle real world challenges.
How has having a Springfield College degree impacted you professionally?
Springfield College has impacted me professionally by preparing me to work in the non-profit sector, and to date I have been successful working at the same non-profit for the last 15 years. My plan is to be there another 15 years because I love being a servant leader. Every professional person is not called to serve; it takes a special chosen person to serve, and I am glad God selected me to serve in my current capacity.
If you could share one piece of advice with today's current Springfield College student, what would it be?
Springfield College is a place where non-traditional student can enroll. The one essential thing I learned from Springfield College was to never give up, keep trying until your "try" becomes a "doing" and your "doing" becomes a "done.”
Who do you want to thank personally for the role they have played in your success?
My parents and my family. They have all pushed me beyond what I thought that I could ever accomplish for myself. My family are the ones who really deserved this honor, I am nothing without the very people who have paved the way for me. Thank You Moma, G-dad and Family... You all are the wind beneath my wings!
