The Wellness Institute Session No. 1: The Mindset Pillar

11-11:30 a.m.

Research has outlined two mindsets that impact our beliefs about our capabilities and potential for success: a fixed mindset and a growth mindset. In a fixed mindset, individuals believe their skills and abilities, like intelligence or athleticism, are set and uncontrollable. In contrast, those holding a growth mindset believe that their skills and abilities, like intelligence or athleticism, can change and improve.

11:45 a.m. to 12:15 p.m.

Nutrition is essential for maintaining a balanced, healthy life. Eating healthy and creating balanced meals can be very challenging. You are welcome to go thru the line in Cheney Hall and pay as you go for lunch or just come and listen to a presentation on approaches and strategies that will help you stay on top of your nutritional goals, methods for creating a balanced meal and tools to help you make sure you’re fueling your body to support your lifestyle.
