Women's Soccer 40th Anniversary Celebration Schedule

10 a.m.
Join us for a special check-in at the women's soccer celebration tent at the Irv Schmid Sports Complex, followed by light breakfast refreshments.

10:30-11:30 a.m.
Next up is the women’s soccer alumnae game. We also are offering activities for "cubs" (future Springfield College soccer players)!

Noon
Visit the Homecoming Fabulous Food Truck Festival and cubs activity area. There will be live music with Ed Carey ’91 and additional music with DJ Brian Nicks ’99. Food trucks include hamburgers, hot dogs, and veggie burgers from The Kitchen, hosted by Bobby Barkett '88; cider donuts, fresh-squeezed lemonade, and kettle corn from Giggles, hosted by Jamie Goldstein '11; Harvest Table; Spuds Your Way; Cookie Monstah; a food station being donated by Azuluna Foods and hosted by Nick Testa G’07; and a cub’s activity area. All festival offerings are compliments of the Alumni Association. Guests also are welcome to bring their own picnic basket and beverages for tailgating. 1 p.m.
Cheer on the Springfield College women’s team as they take on Coast Guard. At halftime, the first Springfield College women’s soccer team and all of our former coaches will be recognized and celebrated.

3 p.m.
Enjoy a meet-and-greet with the current team.

4-5:30 p.m.
Opening of the Tony DiCicco ’70 Soccer Exhibit in the Springfield College Museum

Celebrate the opening of the Tony DiCicco ’70 Collection at the Springfield College Archives and Special Collections. Please join us as we get the first glimpse of this remarkable collection of soccer history, donated by the family of the late Tony DiCicco, 1996 Olympic Gold Medal-winning women's soccer team head coach, Springfield College Athletic Hall of Fame member, and co-captain of the 1969 Springfield College men's soccer team.
