To use the resources of the Archives researchers must first:

When working with materials researchers must:

  • Be responsible for safeguarding material made available to them in the reading room.
  • Use pencils and loose paper when taking notes.
  • Not lean on, write on, fold, trace, or handle the books or manuscripts in any way likely to damage them.
  • Leave bags, backpacks, briefcases, computer cases, purses, and notebooks on the main desk while working in the reading room. (Laptop computers may be used in the reading room)
  • Wear a mask during their appointment.
