ROCE Classes canceled for 3/14 and 3/15

Friday, March 13, 2020

Dear Regional and Online Students, Staff and Faculty,

Classes on the regional campuses for 3/14 and 3/15 have been canceled.

We realize that this is a change in plans.  Our priority is everyone's health and safety and to help reduce the community spread of the virus - coupled with our commitment to your academic progress and success. We have made the decision to cancel these classes and will work with faculty to make up this instructional time once we resume academic operations on March 30th.  Please check the SC Covid-19 website frequently for updates.

The College will be on Spring Break 3/16-22, and there will be no classes held the week of 3/23-3/29. Classes will resume 3/30. Students in online or blended classes will not have assignments due during Spring Break or the week after.

As we move forward we will make up this class weekend with alternative instruction after operations resume on 3/30.   We realize that you have many questions about how this will unfold, we will continue to communicate with you throughout this process and provide plenty of training where needed (e.g., running and participating in a Zoom session; strategies for moving in-class activities to Zoom or online).

All students, staff, and faculty need to make sure that their registration with the RAVE Alert is up to date. Be sure to log in to PrideNET to access the RAVE Alert link and follow all instructions and verification procedures so you can receive emergency alerts on your phone and email. We are tracking your state and local municipality announcements and will respond according to those directives.

Be safe, limit your risk, make good decisions for yourself and your family - and stay healthy. Please know that we're here to support your academic progress in context of this pandemic.
