COVID Update - April 13, 2021 (Week 11) | Springfield College

Good morning,

We are continuing to successfully manage the virus on campus. Last week (Week #11) we had fewer than 20 positive test results (several of which were students already in quarantine as they were direct contacts). On Monday morning, we had only 27 students in supportive housing (12% of capacity).

We hope this trend continues into this week's testing, but this morning's results from yesterday's test resulted in 9 positives. Obviously, we will continue to monitor the situation.

The overall success we are experiencing is due to the vast majority of students continuing to follow the COVID protocols. So, thank you again! We know it is not easy and we are ALL tired of the pandemic, but we ALL want to make sure we make it to the end of the semester on campus. So, please keep up the good work. Weekly testing will continue through the end of the semester; please do not miss your weekly test.

It was great to see so many students take advantage of the wide array of activities on campus this past weekend. Our plan is to continue to provide additional programming and pop-up events. Given the challenges of this year, you deserve as much safe fun as you can cram into the last month of the semester (while taking care of your academics as well, of course!).

Again, please keep up the good work and let's keep the virus under control on campus!

Sincerely,
Patrick
