Dec. 16: COVID-19 Safety Updates | Springfield College

Dear Springfield College Community,

As we approach the end of the semester, we continue to remain vigilant with our COVID-19 protocols to ensure that we finish up strong. We have recently seen an increase in our COVID-19 cases, which necessitates us reexamining certain planned programs and activities.

Out of an abundance of caution, we have decided to cancel the Late Night Breakfast scheduled in Cheney Hall for tomorrow night. We know this decision will be disappointing to you but our priority remains the health and safety of all our community members.

However, given the nature of the event (fully masked at all times), the Vocal Pride Winter Concert scheduled for 7pm tonight in Fuller will proceed. We remind attendees to adhere to the indoor mask mandate.

The COVID-19 dashboard will be updated tomorrow and will continue to change as we process testing information received from the Broad Institute. We will also continue to follow guidelines shared by the Massachusetts Commissioner of Public Health and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

It’s exciting to be so near the finish line but we must continue to remain vigilant and strictly adhere to our COVID-19 protocols. Good luck on finals.

Sincerely,
