New COVID-19 Dashboard | Springfield College

Dear Springfield College faculty, staff, and students,

Following helpful feedback from faculty, staff, and students, our COVID-19 dashboard has been redesigned. The information included has been expanded and clearer definitions provided. Because the timeliness of the information is important, updates will be provided three times per week on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.

View the updated dashboard here.

The College-wide information posted is the best available information Springfield College has at the time. The number of tests administered each week can vary, but a majority of test results are received within 24 hours of the samples reaching the Broad Institute lab (24-36 hours from specimen collection); occasionally the Broad Institute has maintenance or other issues that result in delays, although those have been very limited. A very small percentage of tests are not able to be processed by the lab and those individuals are retested.

In addition to the dashboard, we want to make you aware of the College’s vaccine FAQ page, https://springfield.edu/covid/vaccine, that includes answers to commonly asked questions from our community about COVID-19 vaccination. We hope you find this information valuable. The vaccine FAQ page will be updated regularly as new and relevant information and data about the vaccine become available.

The College continues to closely monitor all data and trends regarding the presence of COVID-19 on our campuses and its impact on members of our community. We appreciate your feedback on the dashboard and your continued attentiveness to safety and health of the campus community.

Sincerely,

Patrick Love
Vice President for Student Affairs
