Many social workers take on careers working with substance abuse clinics or serving in roles within correctional facilities and the court system. Serving as a social worker will allow you to help others in the field about which you’re most passionate.

After earning a diploma in social work, you’ll be uniquely qualified to help individuals and have additional areas of expertise, including crisis intervention social work, hospice and palliative care, addiction counseling, veterans assistance, stress management, and medical care.
