After completing graduate school, Gemini became an adjunct teaching instructor at Springfield College School of Human Services in January 2007. She taught Group Project in Community Development and Change course sequence from 2007 to 2014. She was the criminal justice concentration coordinator and an academic student advisor. In November 2014, Gemini began a career with the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, Department of Youth Services. Prior to starting her career with the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, Gemini worked for the Connecticut Department of Correction from March, 1994 until April, 2014. During her tenure with the State of Connecticut, Department of Correction, Gemini was promoted through the ranks from Corrections Officer to Correctional Lieutenant, and ultimately retired as a Correctional Captain in April 2014, after 20 years of dedicated service.
