Prior to his arrival at Springfield College, Mark Suazo was a professor at Wright State University, the University of Texas at San Antonio, and Bryant University. His primary stream of research focuses on the psychological contract as it relates to organizational behavior and human resource management. He generally teaches courses on organizational behavior, leadership, management, business ethics, human resource management, and the management of diversity in the workplace. In addition to Suazo's academic work experience, he also worked as an engineer. He was a project and program manager for multi-million dollar projects.
