Melva Michaelian taught English literature on the high school level and was the English department chair at Holyoke High School. She also taught English and education classes at various post-secondary schools, such as the University of Massachusetts, Holyoke Community College, Elms College, and Springfield College. She has co-authored two books and written short stories and articles for local and national publications.
