Wayne Rodrigues has been an assistant professor and certified athletic trainer in a dual role position at Springfield College for the past 32 years. Currently, Rodrigues is the coordinator of the Sports Injury Rehabilitation Clinic overseeing the sports injury rehabilitation for the College student-athletes. He also serves as a preceptor for athletic training students completing their fieldwork in sports injury rehabilitation and the other athletic teams. As a faculty member, Rodrigues currently teaches courses in Emergency Medical Response and Therapeutic Modalities. In addition to his duties at Springfield College, Rodrigues has worked as an EMT and paramedic for American Medical Response in Springfield, Mass., for the past 19 years. Rodrigues has been a CPR/first aid instructor for the American Red Cross for the past 35 years. Rodrigues also is certified as a Wilderness EMT and serves as an instructor for Stonehearth Open Learning Opportunities where he teaches courses in wilderness emergency medicine.
