Passion Fruit Seeds: Focus on Hip-Hop and House Dance with Tatiana Desardouin and DJ Stiggity

This event is sponsored by President Mary-Beth and Dave Cooper.

Passion Fruit Seeds is open to the Springfield College community and the public, ages 16 and older.

Passion Fruit Seeds (PFS) is a series of socially engaged educational programs, developed utilizing the prism of hip hop and house dance to uplift and build community. This program incorporates antiracism and inclusivity work. Throughout the weekend, participants have the opportunity to engage in movement classes in both hip-hop and house dance with Tatiana Desardouin and DJ Stiggity, while simultaneously learning about the social, historical and cultural significance of these forms. These programs are intended to support and provide tools to anyone in their healing process, empower the Black community through representation of black people in the arts and offer a safe space for expression. Participants are welcome to take one or all classes for free. This workshop is open to ages 16 and up. All classes will take place at the Dance Studio, on the second floor of the Facilities Management building.
