Primary and Secondary Devices

Secondary devices, such as tablets and smartphones, are growing in popularity and in many ways are a great mobile option to keep up to date, stay productive, and work on the go. However, the capabilities of a secondary devices are dependent on the hardware and software of the unit; in some instances, they may be limited in their functionality and ability to interface with systems and applications at Springfield College.

For this reason, we recommend that you have access to a primary device, such as a desktop or laptop. Springfield College offers a number of open computer labs on-campus as well as technical support options and solutions.

Other Requirements

  • Laptops and Desktops should be equipped with speakers, microphone, webcam and wireless connectivity.

  • High-speed internet is required (20Mbps download or higher)
