Doctor of Physical Therapy Class of 2019 Recognition Ceremony
The Springfield College Department of Physical Therapy hosted its Doctor of Physical Therapy Class of 2019 Recognition Ceremony on Friday, May 17 in the Fuller Arts Center. Thirty six students were recognized with their alumni pins, and officially introduced as physical therapists.
During the ceremony, the following awards were distributed:
Physical Therapy Adjunct Faculty Award - Michelle (Shelly) Quirk, DPT, MCTA, MBA - Given in recognition of excellence in teaching and outstanding contributions to the Springfield College Department of Physical Therapy.
Physical Therapy Humanics Award - Rose (Lackey) Babcock, PT, DPT, OCS, COMT - Given in recognition of excellence in demonstrating and applying the Humanics philosophy through physical therapy practice.
Gertrude M. Lamb Award - Matthew Calendrillo, PT, DPT, BOCOP - Given in recognition of excellence in physical therapy as demonstrated in education, scholarly activity, and/or professional service.
Physical Therapy Student Recognition Award - Austin Ramos - Given in recognition of contributions made to the class and Springfield College, dedication and enthusiasm towards the field of physical therapy, and exemplification of the Humanics philosophy.
Class of 2019 member Michael Lockney was the Class Speaker as he officially welcomed his classmates into the professional world.
