Springfield College 2021 Family Weekend
Springfield College is proud to once again welcome families to the campus for the 2021 Family Weekend.
Questions and Answers for Family Weekend:
Q. Do I need to wear my mask the whole time?
- Masks are to be worn in buildings, regardless of vaccination status. Masks do not need to be worn outside, unless you are unable to maintain 6 feet distance.
Q. Can I go into my student’s residence hall?
- Unfortunately, no. Our guidelines towards outside guests entering the residence halls is still in effect.
Q. I was unable to register online for Family Weekend, am I still allowed to attend?
- YES! We will have on-site registration for those who plan to still attend. Registration will be taking place in the main lobby of the Flynn Campus Union. Please note that the BBQ will have limited tickets available for purchase on-site. You may also choose to eat in the dining hall or campus union cafe as well.
Q. I did not sign up for the President’s Welcome on Saturday morning, are there still spots available?
- Unfortunately, we are at capacity for that event.
Q. Where should I park my car?
- You may park your car in any available lot on campus. We have confirmed with Public Safety that cars without a parking sticker will not be ticketed this weekend.
Q. Will I need to wear my mask during Bingo on Friday night?
- Yes. Although we will be under the tent, we still ask you to wear a mask as the tables are not socially distanced. However, when you are enjoying one of our complimentary treats, you are more than welcome to take your mask off.
Q. Will I need to wear my mask during the magic show on Saturday night?
- Yes. The magic show will be taking place in the Fuller Arts Center. Our magician will also be masked throughout his performance.

Family-frenzied Bingo
Reed Green
One of the most popular events on campus is our monthly bingo. Join us for Family-frenzied Bingo and maybe win some amazing prizes under the tent. This event is hosted by the Campus Activities Board and the Office of Student Activities and Campus Union.

Enjoy some family time while feasting on our menu of barbecue chicken, veggie burgers, hot dogs, mac ‘n’ cheese, baked beans, coleslaw, tossed salad, fruit salad, cookies, and brownies. Our menu includes delicious gluten- and dairy-free options. Pre-registration is required. A limited amount of tickets will be available for purchase at the registration table in the Campus Union.

Join us for an obstacle course, mini golf, pedal carts, hippity-hop ponies, cornhole, spikeball, and much more. Sign-ups will take place on site at the Campus Union on a first come, first serve basis.

Evening Entertainment: Derek Hughes
Appleton Auditorium, Fuller Arts Center
The live performances of celebrated conjurer, “Stand Up Magician” Derek Hughes, have been lauded by audiences and critics alike, with the New York Times writers calling him “thoroughly entertaining.” Hughes has performed his magic on Ellen, MTV, VH1, Comedy Central, and the CW’s Penn & Teller: Fool Us. He’s a consulting producer on TRUtv’s hit magic series, The Carbonaro Effect, and was a finalist on season 10 of NBC’s America’s Got Talent.
