Adapted Physical Education Careers and Internships

Through the graduate-level adapted physical education concentration, students will complete 200 hours of fieldwork in placements customized to their needs and interests. Then, with their Master of Education or Master of Science degree in adapted physical education, graduates can expect to enter into a career as an adapted or adaptive physical educator.

Recent graduates from our program have gone on to find employment with the Collaborative for Educational Service (Mass.), Amherst Public Schools, and Board of Cooperative Educational Services for Rensselaer, Columbia, and Greene Counties (N.Y.).
