Exercise Physiology Graduate Program Outcomes

  1. Understand and be able to apply the scientific method of inquiry
  2. Develop sufficient writing skills to publish their research in a peer-reviewed journal
  3. Be adept at searching the current scientific literature
  4. Be able to demonstrate the understanding of relevant exercise physiology laboratory research concepts
  5. Be able to understand from a mechanistic perspective, the basic physiological functioning of the human body during short duration and long duration exercise
  6. Be able to describe and explain the body’s responses to acute exercise and its adaptation to chronic training in order to maximize potential
  7. Be prepared to seek employment or continued graduate work in exercise physiology or a related discipline
