The health promotion and disease prevention concentration is created for students who are interested in a career in designing, implementing, and evaluating comprehensive health promotion and wellness programs for individuals, agencies, and organizations.

Coursework will help prepare you to pass the Certified Health Education Specialist (CHES) exam, while a supervised field experience will immerse you in the industry so you can put your knowledge into practice. You’ll leave this program ready to begin your career promoting community wellness and guiding individuals toward a healthier lifestyle.
