Estelle Tshitenge is an assistant director of recruitment and outreach at Springfield College Boston.

"Recruitment and outreach are very important because you are a part of changing someone life for the better by enrolling them in the program and being steps away from receiving a degree. Recruiters are a representation of the college. The first to discuss the program to potential students. It's an important role to have. A degree can be life-changing and adult learners want to better their lives and pursuing an education is one of those benefits that will do so. I love helping and giving back to others and this role allows me to do that."

The education and nonprofit field is a career I've always been interested and started by volunteering in high school. I've been working in this field for about 10 years now. I'm a believer in putting good out and receiving it back. Making a difference personally feels good because I've been fortunate to have people in my life who have mentored me and made a change so now I get to do the same. It all started with education and being a good person.

I received my Bachelor of Science in Human Services in 2015 from Springfield College Boston.
