Welcome to our smoke-free, tobacco-free campus.

As of January 1, 2017, Springfield College is a smoke-free, tobacco-free campus in an effort to encourage a healthier environment for our campus community and to strengthen our mission of educating the whole person in spirit, mind, and body.

Our initiative to make the Springfield College community smoke- and tobacco-free helps to further our mission. Springfield College is committed to promoting the health and wellness of our students, faculty, and staff by providing a living, working, and learning environment free of the negative effects of tobacco products and smoke. 

As of January 1, 2017, the use of smoke and tobacco products on the Springfield College campus is prohibited. This includes, but is not limited to, the following.

  • Cigarettes
  • Cigars
  • Chewing tobacco
  • E-cigarettes
  • Smokeless tobacco
  • Medical marijuana
  • Hookahs
  • Vapes

The policy is applicable to any individual who is on the campus, including students, staff, faculty, visitors, and contractors. It also extends to all College property.
