Leadership Through Service
Springfield College students have numerous opportunities to further develop their leadership skills through service.
Alternative Break Program
The Alternative Break Program allows students to participate in service opportunities around the world. Students have spent their spring breaks participating in service projects in San Diego, Calif.; Vero Beach, Fla.; Long Island, Bahamas; Antigua, Guatemala; Huancayo, Peru; Ouanaminthe, Haiti; and in our own backyard in Springfield, Mass.
Projects at these locations range from working with local organizations to collaborating with Habitat for Humanity, the Foundation for International Medical Relief, and FONHARE.
Student Service Clubs
We offer numerous service clubs, such as the Together Campaign that offers members of the College community with leadership opportunities and community service, SC Rachel’s Challenge, Best Buddies, Students Against Violence Everywhere (SAVE), and Habitat for Humanity.
