It's time to celebrate!

Dear Graduating Students, Families, and Friends,

Each year, Springfield College trustees, members of the faculty and staff, and I look forward to celebrating the accomplishments of our students when we confer academic degrees at Commencement exercises. Our students and families regard this celebration as an essential closure to years of study and preparation, and a significant beginning to the next phase of the student’s life.

Please join us for the 2016 Springfield College Commencement weekend events, planned by our Commencement Committee, to be held in Springfield, May 14-15, 2016.

Undergraduate seniors will plan and participate in our traditional Baccalaureate program on Saturday, May 14, 2016, at 1:30 p.m. on the campus. Graduates and families alike agree that it is one of our most meaningful events, so I encourage you and your family to attend. Then, the Undergraduate Commencement Ceremony will take place Sunday, May 15, 2016, at 9:30 a.m., at the MassMutual Center in downtown Springfield.

Graduate students may attend events hosted by individual academic programs on Friday, May 13, 2016, to be followed by the Graduate Commencement Ceremony, Saturday, May 14, 2016, at 9:30 a.m. on the campus.

These events do not require tickets, so we hope that you will invite your families and friends to share in your celebration weekend. Information on each event, as well as relevant telephone numbers, follows in the pages of this booklet. This information also can be found at Please carefully review this information and call us if you have any questions.

We look forward to celebrating with you in May and honoring the successes of our graduating class.

Mary-Beth A. Cooper, PhD, DM
