Springfield College Strength and Conditioning faculty have collaborated with East Campus staff to create outdoor classroom spaces for faculty and students to utilize. The project has been in the works over the last year, and the creation of outdoor working spaces allows for some fun alternatives to learning on the campus.

To help kick-start the 2021 fall semester, Springfield College Strength and Conditioning Assistant Professor Mary Kate Feit led a group of first and second year graduate students that helped identify the usage of three stations at East Campus that the campus community can utilize. The students were asked to create exercise program options at each station, and debrief in what works well at each station.

"The students helped identify what workout programs we could host at each station, and overall, they did a great job creating some great options that we can now roll out to our campus community," said Feit. "We treated this project just like a normal class, and we are very lucky to have this East Campus space available to us at Springfield College."
