“With all of the learning and personal growth I am experiencing at East Campus, these moments are helping me achieve my future goals. Serving as a leader for local youth at the Spring Explorers program allowed me to improve my leadership skills and build my confidence.

I fell in love with East Campus my first year on the campus when I participated in Pre-Camp and Outdoor Pursuits, and I am looking forward to being a student-leader at those same programs in the future. I feel so comfortable at East Campus, and I truly enjoy being a part of all the different learning opportunities at East Campus. I work with my fellow students to introduce them to a place that allows you to grow as both a person and student.

My goal is to be a camp director one day, and having the opportunity to work at all of the youth programming that takes place at East Campus only helps me the develop the skills I need to achieve my goal. These experiences are assisting me on my journey.

East Campus provides experiences and programming you just don’t get at other colleges. I will always support East Campus because it plays such an important role in helping students learn and develop during their time on Alden Street.”

“I love East Campus so much, and for me, it all started when I was attending Camp Massasoit when I was around 9 years old. I fell in love with all of the activities you can be a part of during the summer camp experience, and that passion for East Campus has just continued on during my time as a student at Springfield College.

It’s always a special feeling when the weather warms up and we start taking part in our spring and summer programming. I had the opportunity to recently work with local youth as part of the Spring Explorers program, and I do look at those youngsters and remember what it was like to attend events at East Campus at their age, and I just know how much fun it was to experience that outdoor learning at such a young age.

All of the programs that I have been a part of at East Campus have taught me so much about myself and life. I do think my experiences as a Camp Massasoit attendee have only helped me with working with kids now. I can share with them how much fun I had at East Campus when I was their age, and it helps build a connection with the kids. I will always support East Campus, it’s a place that has impacted my life in a positive way on so many levels, and I am so grateful for all my experiences at Springfield College.”
