As a member of the Springfield College AmeriCorps program, you'll live and share the Springfield College Humanics philosophy, engaging in service that meets the critical educational needs of school aged youth. Through the AmeriCorps Program, you can serve in schools (grades K through 12), where you can facilitate interventions targeting risk factors that lead to dropping out of school, low attendance, behavioral/disciplinary issues, and course failure.

What AmeriCorps Does

  • Serve in Springfield and Holyoke Public Schools (K-12)
  • Facilitate interventions targeting risk factors leading to
    • Dropping out of school
    • Low attendance
    • Behavioral or disciplinary issues
    • Course failure
  • Provide mentorship, support, and social-emotional reinforcement to students
