Biology Teaching Fellow
Graduate Teaching Fellow Responsibilities
Fellows will:
be the instructor for 3-4 two-hour Human Anatomy and Physiology or Anatomy and Physiology Concepts laboratory sections per week.
Hold a minimum of 1 open lab and 1 office hour per week to assist students with content.
Participate in a weekly 1 hour laboratory instructor meeting with the Lab Coordinator.
Grade student worksheets, quizzes, and exams.
Fellowship Required Qualifications
Graduate Teaching Fellow Qualifications Fellows must: be a full-time graduate student at Springfield College in good standing. have a strong background in Anatomy and Physiology having taken at least two semesters of A&P as an undergraduate, earning a grade of B or better. Fellows should: have previous teaching and/or tutoring experience preferred. have excellent interpersonal and communication skills in order to work effectively with students, other grad fellows, and faculty in the department. have excellent record-keeping skills.
Fellowship Preferred Qualifications
Graduate Teaching Fellow Preferred Qualifications (but not exclusionary) Fellows should: Be enrolling in the graduate programs in exercise physiology, physical education, professional athletic training, and other programs with science-based curricula.
