Center for Excellence in Teaching, Learning, and Scholarship - Grad Associate

Description of Position:

As the Graduate Associate for the Center for Excellence in Teaching, Learning and Scholarship, you will be a member of the Center’s learning team. You will have the opportunity to apply skills and knowledge you have learned in the classroom to a professional setting. In this position, you will not only learn about best practices in pedagogy and higher education; you will also gain valuable experience, as you will have the opportunity to help in the recommendation, design, and facilitation of training workshops.                                                                            

  • Assist the Director in scheduling and promoting events, workshops, and meetings
  • Collaborate with the CETLS Staff to build and conduct workshops for faculty and staff
  • Assist in building and analyzing evaluation assessments
  • Work with the CETLS Admin Associate to assist in ordering supplies and resources needed (i.e., ordering food for events, replenishing office supplies, and distributing tech supplies to faculty).
  • Produce information by formatting, editing, copying and transmitting text, data, and graphics.
  • Attend CETLS weekly staff meetings, events, and programming
  • Support the work of the Instructional Designer and Assistant Director, as needed
  • Other administrative duties within CETLS as assigned

Fellowship Preferred Qualifications

Desired Qualifications:  

  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Familiarity with productivity software (Microsoft Office, Google, Canva, Camtasia, AI, Adobe Creative suite, etc.)
  • Ability to organize and initiate programs and activities
  • Ability to solve problems and work independently
  • Experience working with youth in an educational setting or afterschool program
  • Experience supervising, teaching, or leading college age adults
  • Ideal candidates would have some longevity in this role and thus we are looking for students who will be available for two years or more.
