Community Standards Graduate Associate

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Adjudicate Springfield College policy code of conduct violations as a hearing officer
  • Assist upper-level hearing officers with administrative hearings
  • Assist Campus Life and Inclusion staff with administrative tasks that relate to the Community
    Standards and Campus Life and Inclusion office
  • Use Maxient software to manage conduct cases, run reports, use data, and support the
    community standards process
  • Assist Campus Life and Inclusion staff with training college constituents on the community
    standards process and Maxient software
  • Co-lead the Student Handbook Revision Committee
  • Create monthly tabling events themed around pertinent community issues
  • Produce engaging content for social media accounts
  • Design monthly bulletin boards for the residential halls themed around community standards
    topics
  • Record minutes from weekly and monthly meetings
  • Other duties as assigned

Fellowship Required Qualifications

Familiar with campus policies outlined in the Springfield College Student Handbook. Possess strong
interpersonal skills and excellent mediation, written, and oral communication skills. Must be organized
and able to manage time well. Must be able to work independently.

Candidates should have a strong background in one or more of the following: community standards,
judicial affairs, housing and residence life, and/or alcohol and other drug education. Knowledgeable
about computer programs such as Maxient, Microsoft Suite, and Google. Must be flexible with working
hours, available during normal business hours, and able to work occasional nights and/or weekends.

Position Requirements: 

The candidate should be a full-time student at Springfield College in a two-year graduate program.
