Graduate Associate for Facility Operations/Events
Duties and responsibilities:
- Assist in supervising hiring, training, evaluation of 50-60 student staff members in membership services, facility operations, and rock-climbing wall to answer telephone calls, issue passes, provide general information, track usage data, clean equipment, process applications, check id’s and enforce policies and emergency action plans.
- Assist in managing rock climbing wall operations
- Lead in conflict resolution in absence of professional staff during night or weekend hours.
- Assist in tracking and maintaining records for incident/accident reports.
- Prepare year round schedule for student employees.
- Plan and implement technical staff trainings.
- Do weekly work order/facility assessment with Assistant Director or Associate Director.
- Assist is coordinating CPR/First Aid training for all student staff.
- Disseminate information regarding policies and procedures and update them regularly.
- Reconcile customer issues regarding card access in absence of professional staff
- Assist with locker check out, clean out and maintenance.
- Supervise recreation complex at night/weekends at the discretion of the Assistant Director and be on call one weekend per month.
- Assist Assistant Director in student employee discipline.
- Assist in cleaning of all fitness equipment with student staff
- As per directed, manage aquatic facility/events/programs as part of overall facility operations.
- Manage set up and break down of equipment in various locations
- Other duties as assigned by the Assistant Director
