Health Sciences Graduate Fellow

Primary Responsibilities:

The primary responsibilities of this fellowship are to assist the supervising faculty member with:

  • Grading quizzes, tests, and course assignments.
  • Creating and organizing instructional materials and activities for courses.
  • Assisting the faculty member with organizing guest speakers, service learning activities, and departmental events. 
  • Assisting the faculty member with research, including searching databases for relevant literature, data collection, inputting data, and analyzing data.

The graduate fellow’s primary responsibilities are to assist the faculty member with course implementation and management and research. The fellow must pay keen attention to detail, be well organized, possess excellent information literacy skills, and be able to complete tasks independently once directions have been given. The fellow is responsible for grading quizzes, tests, and assignments and entering grades in Brightspace. Other responsibilities assisting in departmental activities as instructed by the supervising faculty. The graduate fellow will also assist the faculty member in ongoing research activities. This may include: literature reviews, data collection, data input, and data analysis.

Secondary Responsibilities:

The graduate fellow may also be asked to represent the department at Open Houses and call or speak to potential students.

 


Fellowship Required Qualifications

Required Qualifications: 

  • Background in health sciences or a related field of study.
  • Organization, good attention to detail
  • Computer skills, including facility with Brightspace
  • Excellent written and spoken communication skills
  • Full time graduate student in the School of Health Sciences.
