Institutional Research Fellowship

Primary Responsibilities:

The Graduate Fellow in Institutional Research works with the Director and IR analyst to support office initiatives and projects.  Primary job responsibilities include data entry, cleaning, and analysis, drafting reports, and survey administration.  The graduate fellow is expected to work independently on tasks and projects and will have to opportunity to expand his/her skillset with Excel, statistical software, survey software, and data visualization tools.  These technical and analytical skills can be applied to their own research and scholarly work. 

 

Secondary Responsibilities: 

  • Administrative responsibility for hiring, training, and supervising undergraduate student workers for annual telephone calling effort
  • Web-based research or literature reviews
  • Other office management tasks, such as copying, filing, organizing, as needed

Fellowship Required Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Strong computer skills with Microsoft Office, especially Excel
  • Comfortable with using web-based technology and willingness to learn new skills
  • Good oral and written communication skills
  • Previous research-related or professional experience

 

Position Requirements:

A graduate student in a PhD program is preferred.  Applicants need to be a full-time graduate student at Springfield College.  Prior coursework in research methods and/or statistics is required.
