Primary Responsibilities:

Applicants for the position must have the skills and ability to assist faculty with the following:

  • Assist in simulation lab activities including playing a confederate role during the simulation.
  • Set up for History and Physical and Applied Clinical Skills labs as requested.
  • Update test bank questions in Exam Soft as requested
  • Collect and monitor student tracking requirements on Typhon
  • Grading of assignments, paying attention to correct spelling and grammar.
  • Assist faculty with special projects, which may include, curriculum development, faculty research, and data collection/analysis.
  • Managing Brightspace Classroom with grade entry and assignment collection as requested by faculty
  • Occasionally may be asked to supervise undergraduate classes in faculty absence.

 

Secondary Responsibilities:

Administrative duties include but are not limited to:

  • Survey creation as directed.
  • Update surveys (graduate, preceptor and exit) on Qualtrics and coordinate mailing of the surveys as needed.
  • Collect and summarize survey results
  • Assisting faculty members with administrative duties associated with maintaining records related to clinical rotation scheduling, and evaluation.
  • Other office management tasks, copying, scanning, filing and phone coverage. And any other duties assigned.

Required Qualifications:

  • Maturity, initiative, and sound judgment
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to maintain ethical and professional behavior in maintaining confidentiality.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills in order to work effectively with students, faculty, staff, preceptors, guest lecturers etc.
  • Computer skills: Word processing, fluent with all google docs applications, mail merge, spreadsheet application, and overall comfort with technology.

Position Requirements:

Graduate Fellows must be a full-time graduate student at Springfield College in good standing. Graduate Fellows must be available to work during regular office hours - weekdays between 8:00 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. throughout the academic year. Ideal candidates will have Thursday morning availability for simulation-based activities.

Given the nature of the position, PA graduate students are not eligible to apply.
