NOTE: Students admitted to the Student Affairs Administration (SAA) master's program receive priority consideration.

Responsibilities include:

 

  • Support the mission of the Spiritual Life Center to provide programming to the Springfield College and to encourage the belief that education and personal growth have spiritual component.
  • Oversee the day to day operations of the Center, ensuring procedures are followed and a welcome, professional and pastoral atmosphere is maintained
  • Assist the Director in managing student workers, scheduling and payroll, programming and publications.
  • Maintain confidentiality around student concerns and the contents of student files

 


Fellowship Required Qualifications

Required qualifications:

 

  • Familiarity with campus policies and regulations outlined in Springfield College Student Handbook
  • Willingness to work positively and cooperatively with persons of many faiths as well as those who do not identify as religious
  • Understanding of students’ needs and the ability to listen empathically
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Excellent written and oral communications skills
  • Excellent organizational skills

Fellowship Preferred Qualifications

Desirable qualifications:

 

  • Experience working in a busy office setting
  • Experience working with computer and programs such as Microsoft Publisher, Excel, Word
  • Interest in working with students
  • Interest in working in programs catering to religious and spiritual life
