Student Affairs Fellow
The graduate associate will work directly with the Dean of Students assisting them with the myriad evolving tasks and projects that comprise the work of the office.
Specific duties include:
- Develop and implement robust programming for commuter students and first-generation college students.
- Select, train, and oversee student mentors for First Generation Student Mentoring Program; communicate with faculty/staff mentors; encourage and support participation of students in the program
- Help manage Student Affairs social media accounts.
- Assist Dean of Students with managing Students of Concern, and Care Team cases.
- Meet individually with students to provide support and connection to campus resources.
- Assist with office publications, including Commuter newsletters, First Generation Student newsletters and other communications for the Office of Student Affairs.
- Serve on Student Affairs committees and attend meetings.
- Collaborate with professionals and graduate students from various offices and divisions for programming, and to support students.
- Attend trainings, webinars, and other professional development opportunities throughout the year.
- Conduct research to support new initiatives.
- Serve on Student Leadership Recognition Committee.
Secondary Responsibilities:
Some duties can include:
- Providing coverage for the office when administrative staff is unavailable.
- Supporting administrative staff as needed.

Required Qualifications: The graduate fellow should have: Position Requirements: Applicants need to be a full-time graduate student at Springfield College.
