Primary Responsibilities:

 

The Graduate Fellow’s primary responsibilities include directly assisting the faculty supervisor with management of the undergraduate psychology program. The Fellow will be responsible for assisting in program evaluation, including developing and revising direct and indirect assessment measures. The Fellow will also be responsible for drafting program assessment reports. In addition to these responsibilities, the Fellow will also assist the faculty supervisor with student recruitment and advising responsibilities, including meeting with students from the undergraduate program who need extra assistance or guidance regarding their degree progress. Other primary responsibilities may include assisting the faculty supervisor with teaching tasks, such as tutoring students from the faculty supervisor’s classes, proctoring exams, and holding office hours to meet with students on an as needed basis. Teaching tasks may also include advising and assisting students who are seeking or completing an internship and participating assisting with the internship seminar course.

 

Secondary Responsibilities: 

 

The graduate fellow will also help manage documents related to undergraduate internships, create and administer program assessment measures, and prepare written materials for open houses, advising, and internship preparation.

  • Knowledge and interest in psychology.
  • Interest in student success and development.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills in order to work effectively with students.
  • Excellent time management and ability to manage the execution of individualized projects.

 

Position Requirements:

 

The Fellow must be a full-time graduate student at Springfield College in good standing and in a field of study related to the Fellowship. The Fellow must have a background in psychology from her or his undergraduate education.
