The Alumni Association Guidelines for Alcohol Consumption abide by the rules of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, the federal Drug-Free Schools and Communities Act of 1989 (P.I. 101-226), the All-College Social Events and Alcohol Policy, and Springfield College policies. The College Department of Public Safety will enforce these rules. Springfield College has a fine tradition of promoting healthy values associated with its Humanics philosophy, and we are confident that the Alumni Association supports these values. All alcohol consumed by alumni and their guests on College grounds must be consumed in one of the two tailgating areas during the daytime activities or purchased through the licensed provider at the event in question. In both cases, all alcoholic beverages must be confined to these areas. No alcohol or tailgating will be permitted elsewhere on campus.

Look for signs and Springfield College Public Safety staff to direct you to a variety of parking options. No on-street parking will be available.

Please be advised that with the exception of guide and assist dogs, no pets shall be brought onto or permitted on any athletic field or playing surface. Due to liability issues, pet care is the responsibility of the owner.

Please note, due to parking constrictions during the academic year, your vehicle will be parked on the outskirts of campus in a utility lot. Power hookups are not available.

Select “SC-Events” Wi-Fi, you will then be presented with three options to authenticate: Facebook, Amazon, and Microsoft. Credentials need to be for your personal account. Once the authentication is done you will be connected to the campus network and can access the Internet.

Games of Chance are generally defined as any type of game where a person pays something of value (generally cash) for an opportunity to win a prize. Games of Chance include raffles (including 50/50 raffles), lotteries, and casino and bingo nights. Games of Chance are heavily regulated by state law and in many instances prohibited. In 2015, Springfield College adopted a Charitable Gaming Policy that governs the operation of such games, including required approvals. If you are interested in having a game of chance, please contact the Office of Alumni Relations staff at least six months in advance of any proposed activity to discuss the process for review and approval.

The primary goal of Springfield College is fostering education and study. To achieve this, the College places restrictions on activities which might disrupt the operations of the College. For this reason, groups not associated or affiliated with the College are not permitted on College-owned property for the purpose of solicitation without the advance permission of the vice president of Student Affairs. Such solicitation may include the distribution of flyers, announcements, and posters as well as door-to-door sales or requests for financial support. Door-to-door sales, office-to-office, and person-to-person solicitation are NOT permitted in any College-owned building or on any College-owned property by anyone including recognized or affiliated Springfield College groups or individuals.
