Jennifer started her journey in psychology in high school and followed a winding academic and career path that led her to the field of Rehabilitation Counseling. She taught in the Psychology Department at North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University in Greensboro, N.C., for 17 years before coming to Springfield College. She currently serves as an assistant professor in the Counseling Department and as a counselor in the Counseling Center here at Springfield College. Jennifer counsels from a person-centered framework and enjoys working with emerging adults and helping them find the answers to this thing called life that they are searching for. She also assists them with finding the life path that works best for them. Jennifer identifies as a counselor with a strong psychology background, which helps her better understand human behavior. Her background allows her to develop an effective therapeutic relationship that addresses the needs of each individual she counsels. Mental health tip: Seeking help with mental wellness is always a vibe!
