For Damian McKay Morgan ‘21, it was important for him to find a school with a good physician assistant program that was close to home. After a campus visit, he knew Springfield College fit the bill. But was it affordable?
When Damian received his financial aid package, not only did it make Springfield College affordable, it led him to the programs, mentors, and opportunities that have changed his life.
“If I didn’t have financial aid, I wouldn't be at Springfield College. If I weren’t at Springfield College, I would be nowhere near the person I am today,” he said.
Damian Is a New Student Orientation leader, sings with Vocal Pride, and runs on the men’s track and field team. But he says working as a LTC (Leadership Training Conference) facilitator is the most transformative experience because it taught him that being a leader is about learning to lead one’s self before you can lead others.
“LTC is an experience that completely blew my mind and changed my entire life,” he said. “It’s about finding out who you are as a person to be able to lead others, to inspire others, and to be a better person.”
