From the Director of Athletics

One of my responsibilities as the director of athletics at Springfield College is to provide the resources for our student-athletes to be successful. With the first semester of 2017-18 in my rear view mirror, I’ve taken some time to reflect on how success is measured and how we are judged on the merits of our accomplishments. On a number of scales, I’m confident that our student-athletes excelled and their actions continued to reflect what it means to be a part of the Springfield College community.

What it Means to Wear THE Jersey

When I first stepped onto the campus of Springfield College as a high school student, I thought I would be making a decision that would impact the next four years of my life. Little did I know the decision to attend Springfield College to play women’s volleyball would have implications that reached far beyond those four years. It would truly change the course of my life.

In Their Own Words

The impact is endless. The gifts from alumni allow student-athletes the opportunity to take spring trips, get new equipment each year, and upgrade facilities. Our gifts allow kids the opportunity to pursue college athletics and give them a great experience at Springfield College.

Student-athlete Q&A

It means endless opportunities to be successful. This starts in the weight room. Our strength and conditioning coaches are some of the best in the entire country. Pairing this with the on-field tenure and experience of coaches like Mike Cerasuolo, Jack Holik, and Greg Webster, I feel prepared for games. However, the opportunities for success do not end on the field. With the substantial outreach that Springfield has due to its alumni, there are numerous connections I have developed that will be a great help in pursuing an occupation.
