Allison Leary

What does Allison Leary ‘21 like most about her major?

“Everything,” she replies with a straight face.

From the engaging faculty to the stimulating classes to the service-oriented field work, everything about the physical therapy program reaffirms that Springfield College was the right choice for her.

“The physical therapy faculty are amazing,” she boasts. “The service-oriented aspects of the program are great. And with the clinical work we do and the early exposure to fieldwork, it just kind of creates the mindset that being a healthcare provider is really about caring for other people.”

Allison was looking at several colleges with physical therapy programs but it wasn’t until she stepped on the Springfield College campus that her mind was made up.

Allison works as a site leader for the Partners Program, a mentoring program that works with local schools. She also works for Student Advocates for Wellness, a peer education group.

Service has always been important to her, so she enjoys these opportunities to help her community. As important as student life has been, none of it would have been possible without financial aid.

The Springfield College Fund provides the strong academics, service opportunities, and financial aid that makes a Springfield College education possible for students like Allison.
