Springfield College Celebrates 12th Annual Martin Luther King Jr. Lecture

The Springfield College campus community celebrated the 12th annual Martin Luther King Jr. Lecture on Monday, March 3, 2025. The evening was titled "MLK and the Current American Social and Political Landscape." This year’s event was a thought-provoking conversation rooted in King’s own political and prophetic thought and advocacy in both historical and contemporary contexts.
Esteemed panelists included State Sen. Adam Gomez, Mount Holyoke College President Danielle R. Holley, and Martin Luther King Jr. Family Services CEO Shannon M. Rudder. Moderating the talk was Terry Powe ’96, Board of Trustees member and co-chair of the Academic and Student Affairs Committee.
In addition, student-trustee Kushal Bhandari, Social Work faculty member Miguel Arce, and community member Anna Gilbert-Muhammad were recognized for their impactful work within their communities. View Photo Gallery...
