Springfield College S-Cubed Program at National Conference

Springfield College Department of Education Graduate Coordinator Eileen Cyr, third from left, recently led a group of students representing the S-cubed program at the Critical Questions in Education Conference in Savannah, Georgia. Cyr was joined by Valerie Annear, Keisha Maxwell, Lisa Hall, Shannon Daniels in a presentation titled "Neurodiversity – Asset based models for today’s classrooms." This presentation examined frameworks and strategies for a mindset shift from deficit to asset based views of Neurodiversity. 

In addition, Cyr was also joined by Amber Knight, Marisa Santo, and Sam Garcia for a presentation titled, "Family and community engagement: What are we doing well, and what can we do better?" This presentation highlighted successful Family Engagement strategies that are being  implemented across districts and grade levels.
